How Getting Dressed with Brad collects, uses and protects personal information.
Effective 21 July 2026 · Last updated 21 July 2026
1. Who we are
Getting Dressed with Brad is an Australian personal style, confidence and lifestyle platform operated by Brad in Melbourne, Victoria. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Getting Dressed with Brad.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number and location or time zone;
- newsletter and Style Guide subscription choices and consent records;
- Personal Styling booking details, appointment information and answers you provide before a consultation;
- Media enquiry details, including organisation, website, opportunity type and message;
- shop, order, delivery and transaction information when purchases become available;
- technical data such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referral source and cookie preferences; and
- communications, feedback and other information you choose to provide.
Please do not include sensitive health, financial or identity information in open text fields unless it is genuinely necessary.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through forms, bookings, purchases, emails and other interactions. We may also receive limited technical information through WordPress, hosting, security, analytics, ecommerce and email systems, subject to your cookie choices where required.
4. Why we use it
We use personal information to provide requested downloads and services, administer bookings and orders, answer enquiries, prepare for consultations, operate and secure the website, improve content, maintain records, meet legal obligations and—only where permitted—send marketing communications.
For visitors covered by the GDPR or UK GDPR, our legal bases may include consent, performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, and compliance with law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Marketing
We send promotional email only where we have appropriate consent or another lawful permission. Every marketing email identifies the sender and provides a functional unsubscribe option. Styling and Media enquiries are not automatically added to marketing. See our Marketing & Email Preferences page.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose only what is reasonably necessary to trusted providers that help us operate, including website hosting, WordPress and plugins, Groundhogg CRM, email delivery, Zoom, analytics (if enabled with permission), payment providers, WooCommerce, Printful and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business reorganisation.
7. Overseas processing
Some providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, European Union or other locations where they or their subprocessors operate. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances and, where applicable, rely on recognised transfer safeguards. Provider locations can change, so contact us if you need current details.
8. Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose collected, legal and accounting obligations, dispute resolution and security. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a portable copy of your information; object to certain processing; opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising where those concepts apply; and withdraw consent. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Australian individuals may request access or correction and complain about handling under the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles where applicable. EU/EEA and UK individuals may complain to their local data-protection authority. California residents may exercise applicable rights without discriminatory treatment. Canadian and New Zealand individuals may exercise the rights provided by their applicable privacy laws.
10. Children
The website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information for marketing. A parent or guardian may contact us about information submitted by a child.
11. Complaints
Email us with “Privacy complaint” in the subject line and describe your concern. We will acknowledge and investigate it within a reasonable period. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the relevant regulator in your location.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will always appear here.
